I have heard so many complaints and negativity around parenting and raising children, that it’s made me wonder why people have kids in the first place? From being sources of inconvenience and sleeplessness and general adult-time-invasion, it seemed like these people cherished their pre-child days way more to appreciate their offspring.
I know parenting is not easy. I understand that commiserating and venting is what helps mothers through the first years. But, I don’t get why we can’t turn our focus more to everything that’s positive and fulfilling about parenting. I can’t possibly be the only one who isn’t letting the terrible two’s or the impending threenage year define my relationship or experiences with my toddler!
